Welcome to the website for BEN FUREY, one of the leading New York City-based Dialect, Accent, and Voice and Text coaches. He works regularly in theatre on Broadway, Off-Broadway, regionally and internationally as well as coaching for film and television.

In August 2017, Ben started working on his 100th professional theatre productions as a voice, text, and/or dialect coach or consultant and has worked on more since then.

"Learning a dialect is more than just doing sound changes, it is about finding the voice of the character. It involves acquiring sounds other than your own and practicing them so that those sound changes become so organic that they happen without conscious thought.  It is about learning the "music" and the placement of the accent and then, finally, applying all of this so that whole becomes the voice of the character.
The dialect should never get in the way of the acting or the production."

"Ben Furey. A quiet force of Broadway."
Laura Henry, Master Acting Teacher, ScriptDoctor and on-set acting coach NYC and LA.
